Streamwake + Amazon CloudFront.
A conceptual proposed CloudFront evaluation, not a verified integration.
This page describes CloudFront only as a conceptual proposed evaluation. A possible pairing with AWS MediaLive would keep viewer-side delivery observations distinct from origin-side encoder signals. A verified CloudFront connection path, live telemetry ingestion, and setup instructions are unavailable; no integration claim is made here.
Amazon CloudFront aws edge delivery, caching, policy, and control-plane surfaces. The Amazon CloudFront-owned surfaces are source-inspected; the Streamwake workflow on this page is conceptual and not a demonstrated live integration.

AWS CloudFront APIs expose distribution configuration reads such as GetDistribution and distribution enumeration.
- Basis
- AWS CloudFront API Reference: GetDistribution.
- Scope
- Read-only configuration/status surface; a documented API is not a verified customer connection or setup path.

AWS documents path-based invalidation submission and invalidation status reads through the CloudFront API.
- Basis
- AWS CloudFront Developer Guide: invalidating files.
- Scope

What Amazon CloudFront owns. What Streamwake proposes on top.
The Amazon CloudFront surfaces below are based on source-inspected research. The proposed Streamwake layer is conceptual; live compatibility, operation, and remediation remain unverified.

Conceptual investigation outputs
A proposed operating loop
for Amazon CloudFront signals.
Four conceptual steps from a Amazon CloudFront signal to an operator-reviewed next action. This is not a controlled test or production demonstration.
- 1
Map CloudFront + MediaLive signals
A proposed evaluation could map documented CloudFront distribution metrics, access-log surfaces, Lambda@Edge configuration/state, invalidation responses, and AWS MediaLive channel-state, input-attach, and encoder-profile signals. Telemetry delivery to Streamwake is unverified.
- 2
Investigate and rank across CDN + origin
A conceptual workflow could compare CloudFront observations with MediaLive encoder-profile and input-attach context, then rank hypotheses such as viewer_cache_miss_latency, edge_population_gap, regional_origin_shield_failure, and cloudfront_vs_origin_classification_drift. No live correlation result is published.
- 3
Propose and approve a bounded next action
An operator-facing proposal could identify a smallest-safe review action, such as examining an origin-shield policy, an invalidation path, or an encoder profile after classification. CloudFront action, automatic remediation, and recovery verification are not demonstrated.
- 4
Verify and learn
A conceptual workflow could compare later observations and record what was learned while keeping CloudFront-side and MediaLive-side hypotheses distinct. No live recovery, incident closure, or postmortem is demonstrated on this page.
No verified Amazon CloudFront setup is
published yet.
A verified Amazon CloudFront connection path, live telemetry ingestion, and setup instructions are not available on this page. The conceptual workflow above must not be read as operational guidance.
Conceptual Amazon CloudFront scenarios
for investigation, not verified operation.
These scenarios use source-inspected Amazon CloudFront-owned surfaces to illustrate what a future workflow could evaluate. They are proposed examples, not results from a live account.
Claim status labels: see definitions.
Viewer-cache-miss-latency
Conceptual scenario: a derived cache-miss indicator or changed CloudFront CacheHitRate could be reviewed alongside delivery latency and AWS MediaLive encoder context to distinguish a delivery-side hypothesis from an origin-side hypothesis. This is not a demonstrated CloudFront detection or reroute.
Edge-population-gap
Conceptual scenario: a regional delivery skew could be investigated against distribution-level CloudFront observations and an AWS MediaLive encoder-profile change in the same evaluation window. A paired invalidation or MediaLive retune is proposed discussion, not demonstrated action.
Regional-origin-shield-failure
Conceptual scenario: a regional Origin Shield observation could be compared with CloudFront CacheHitRate and OriginLatency observations to assess whether the delivery path or AWS MediaLive origin warrants review. Tier changes and invalidations are not demonstrated remediation.
Cloudfront-vs-origin-classification
Conceptual scenario: a viewer rebuffering symptom could be evaluated against CloudFront CacheHitRate or 5xxRate and AWS MediaLive channel-state, encoder-profile, or input-attach context. A future workflow could keep cloudfront_side and origin_side hypotheses distinct; no live classification is demonstrated.
Inspect a CloudFront playback path.
Next to Amazon CloudFront.
Use the generic /stream-check playback check to inspect a supplied URL across manifest, segments, bitrate ladder, CDN response, and playback errors. It is not proof of CloudFront compatibility, telemetry ingestion, remediation, or production readiness.
